The Human Heart!

Class 5 have been learning about the human heart in Science this week. To help us to understand how the circulatory system works, we did a practical demonstration outside on the playground, with pupils representing the blood stream and holding up either a red cube, to represent oxygenated blood, or a blue cube, to represent de-oxygenated blood. The blood stream then travelled to the lungs to receieve oxygen, the heart (to be pumped) and the muscles of the body to deliver the oxygen!
