Welcome to the new blog!
This week in class 3 we are revisiting our bus stop division in Maths, and will also be solving problems involving patterns. In English, we have been learning about prepositions and possessive apostrophes and will also be doing some diary writing later on in the week. In our topic we have been busy making our volcano models and have painted them ready for our eruption! We have also been learning some new and interesting facts about earthquakes as well as doing some work on creating our own Mercalli Scale.
There will be a spelling test as usual on Friday, along with a timestables test. Group 1 will be tested on a mixture of their 8 and 12 times tables. Group 2: x 3 and x 4.
I have attached the spelling lists again for the spring term, please find them below. I will also be checking reading journals every Friday so make sure and have them in your bag to show me all the lovely reading you’ve been doing.
Well done to Bella, who was our pupil of the week last Friday. You have done some great work on telling the time!
Please keep an eye out for some pictures that will be uploaded later on in the week.
We are currently on Week 3 of our spellings, as we did not have a spelling test the first week back.
