Well done our pupil of the week.

Well done  our pupil of the week, She continually demonstrates a positive attitude towards her learning and is always absorbed in whatever task is at hand!

This week in writing we have been using symbols to help us to remember a story. We drew symbols to represent words and then acted out and told our stories to the class.

In Maths we have been learning rules around addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. We learnt that addition and multiplication ends in the biggest number, division and subtraction starts in the biggest number. We have also been learning about measures.

In RE we thought about Jesus’s choices of disciples. We asked two children to role play being Jesus and the rest of the class created a thought tunnel. They said if they thought that Jesus should have Matthew as a disciple and they also gave their reasons. At the end of the tunnel the children then had to make up their mind. We explained that Jesus didn’t just choose good people. He chose people who he could help to become a better person.

Spellings this week: baked, closed, smiled, typed, used, braver, larger and wider.

In Maths the children will be tested on their 3 times tables.

Again thank you for all of your support.
