This week in Class 5, pupils have been working hard in English on their non-chronological reports about oil. They used their note-taking skills to record key facts about how oil is formed, extracted and separated from a video, then organised their notes into a mind map. Each day, they have been adding new paragraphs, ensuring they use technical vocabulary, brackets to add extra information and complex sentence structures. Next week, we are looking forward to publishing our reports!
In Maths, we have been developing our understanding of multiples and factors. Pupils have been set MyMaths homework which is due in on Thursday. The class began their art & Spanish unit with Mrs Erdbeer, producing self-portraits in their sketchbooks.
We also started Singing Strategy with Mrs Wright from Twynham School. We will work with her every Monday and then participate in an event at the Priory in the Summer Term.
For our science lesson next week, we are in need of washed plastic milk cartons (any size) please!
