Hello everyone! It’s been a lovely first few days in class 2, the pupils have been working really hard and we’ve already earned two gems in our class jar!

This week in English we are focusing on our text ‘The Way Back Home’, we will be working on using adjectives along with capital letters and full stops. We will also be working on describing settings and different characters.

In maths, we are learning about place value and will be working on counting to 100, comparing numbers, number bonds and number patterns.

In D & T we have created our paper airplanes ready for our competition on Friday, we have also designed our plane structure which we will be working on over the next few weeks. If you have any cardboard at home, please send your child in with some loo-roll or kitchen roll, this will be very helpful in making our models.

In our topic last week, we learned about different modes of transport throughout the years. This week we will be learning about the Wright brothers. In science, we will begin our unit on movement and explore pushes/pulls.

Homework books will be sent out tomorrow to be covered-please return them by Friday as homework in books will commence next week.
