In Class 5 this week, we have been writing an innovated Greek myth called Zeus and the Cerberus and honing our editing skills. There has been some impressive descriptive writing and it has been great to see the pupils taking responsibility for improving their work. We got some good advice from Steve, the author who visited us on Wednesday!
In Maths, we have been working on number patterns and rounding, whilst during guided reading the children have been trained in the reciprocal reading strategy. In topic we have been learning more about life in Ancient Greece, focusing on home life, politics, slavery, the sea & ships and work & school. The pupils showed excellent teamship as they researched one of these areas and then produced a learning poster to present to the rest of the class. We then used a mindmap to record our new knowledge.
