This week in maths we have been learning about mass, and measuring in g and kg. We have also worked on our journalling skills and problem solving. On Friday, there will be a times tables test on the 3 and 5 division times tables.
In writing, we have been working on using inverted commas and homophones in our work. We have started our innovation on ‘The Papaya That Spoke’ and will be working on our ‘Think it, say it, write it’ to gather our ideas together.
In our topic ‘Explorers’ we learned about Ibn Battuta and how exploring many years ago was very different to modern times. In science, we will be carrying out a comparative test on growth enquiry to describe how humans change as they get older. In our phonics we have been working on our sounds with alternative spellings as well as when ‘s’ or ‘es’ is added to root words to make a plural. There will also be a dictation on Friday based on this weeks spellings.
