Another wonderful week.
Well done to our pupils of the week. In our whole class reading we have been focussing on vocab, inference and predicting. The two children who were chosen, applied new vocab in our writing sessions.
In Writing, we have been innovating our suspense text. The children have come up with some wonderful ideas.
In music we have been practising playing instruments to ABBA tunes. We have been learning about tempo and pitch.
In Maths, we have been looking at continuing patterns that are increasing and decreasing. We have looked at Thousands, hundreds, tens and ones and observed to see which changes in theses patterns. For example: Is it increasing by thousands or hundreds?
In Science, we have been learning about the human body and the organs in the digestive system.
Next week, we would like to start our canopic jars. Please can all children bring in a container with a lid. this could be an empty large pot of natural yoghurt with a plastic clear lid. I will eat my way through as many as possible, so I can have spares in case you are struggling.
