Week beginning 7/10/19

Well done to our pupil’s of the week who, showed great listening skills in RE. They remembered lots about the Hindu festival Janmashtami. One of our pupil’s was even inspired to do more learning at home.

In Writing, we have been innovating our text. We discussed the amount of pumpkins in supermarkets at the moment and explained that not everyone uses the pumpkins to carve for Halloween, pumpkins can be carved for other events or even just for food. We innovated the text, to How to carve a pumpkin for …….. (Children’s choice).

In maths, we have continued learning about adding and have been particularly focussing on bridging over 10.

In Art, we have been getting very creative. Despite wearing aprons, somehow we still managed to get covered in paint and Mod rock. However, the children had lots of fun, creating a painting for a competition for Poole light house – The Land above the clouds. We have been also finishing our canopic Jars.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Mrs Miller
