Week beginning 21/10/19

Well done to the pupil of the week, who was chosen for the scientific language she used to communicate her ideas in our science investigation.

In writing, we have been writing descriptions on settings linked to our whole class reading book: The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.

In Science this week, we have continued our investigation into what happens to the egg shells when left in different liquids for 1 hour. We asked questions, recorded information, measured using measuring beakers and made links to how what we have found out can help us look after our teeth.

In PE, we have been continuing to learn about balance, develop strength and Stamina through sustained periods of rigorous activity Practice. They have implemented runs, leaps, jumps and locomotion in more complex sequences, working collaboratively to perform with a partner.

In Maths, we have been learning about problem solving, some children even found more practical ways to help them solve the problems.

The end of our topic.

In our topic learning, we have been pretending to go back in time in a time machine, we went to different periods in history and saw how the Egyptian civilisation had changed.

Thank you to those parents who came in to see our learning and canopic jars. We can not wait to begin our new topic after half term.

Have a wonderful, half term and thank you again to all parents for your support.
