On Tuesday, Class 5 were alerted to a strange substance which appeared to be bubbling up from underground near to the hub. Mr Croutear took samples of the vicous liquid, which had a yellowy hue. Laboratory tests revealed that it was a type of fossil fuel called ‘Hektanium’, most commonly found in Norway. This led us to our latest Talk4Writing model text, in which we learned how the evil Changemaker of Shadow Forest orders the huldre-slaves to extract the Hektanium from underground, separate it using the ‘Dracolocker Drill’ before heating it to form various by-products, such as a mortality solution and a deadly poison!
