This week we have started our new Talk 4 Writing text, The Diary of a Suffragette. The children draw parts of the text as a story map and practiced reciting our model text as groups.
Democracy
We had House Captain elections in which every child voted for who they wanted to represent their house.
History
In history we were looking at the Ford Dagenham workers and held a debate as to whether women and men should be paid the same for equal jobs. The children cam up with good arguments for a against and from the perspective of the women, men and managers.
