Priory Choir Vocal Day Feb 2020

It was an exciting day for our advanced choir when they got to record in the Priory Church, supported by Brockenhurst College students. The result of all this hard work is shared below and it is simply stunning…

Nativity Service Dec 2019

Our nativity service remains at the heart of all the school celebrations, taking place in the spectacular, candlelit surroundings of the Priory church.  As is traditional, Class 2 led the service with their acting, while Class 6 narrators told the story of the birth of Jesus.  This year we had 3 different choirs taking part (involving half the school) and a number of our musicians, including ukuleles, recorders, bass guitar and drums.

The children’s singing was heartfelt and impressive and stand-out moments include the advanced choir singing the ‘Wexford Carol’ and ‘Oh, with have to go’ sung by our youngest children.  The school is hugely indebted to Miss Deay, who helped co-ordinate the service and Mrs Moss, who led the music.

Bournemouth In Bloom Winners July 2019

We are delighted to announce that we are the winners of the Bournemouth in Bloom School winners for 2018-19. The judging panel loved our designs for our new Eco Garden and the efforts we made in the Wonderful Wheelbarrow Competition and the Sweet Pea Competition.

Well done to all the Eco Committee and special thanks to Mr Diggins and Mrs Dyer for all their hard work. Champions!

School Success in Sport and Music June 2019

With nearly a third of the school involved in one of our choirs, it’s no surprise that Music continues to flourish here at The Priory. We won the New Milton Music Festival Ensemble Division and our choir finished ‘Highly Commended’. Thanks so much to Mrs Moss and Miss Deay.

The full School Choir – the playground is the only space big enough to fit them all in!

For the first time in a number of years the school got through to the County Finals in Kwik Cricket. After success in Tag Rugby, skiing and tri-golf we look forward to the 2019-20 season!

The Grand Hub Opening April 2019

Months of hard work and negotiations finally resulted in the first new building at The Priory School for a number of years – our purpose built Nurture and small group space.

Watch the ramp – but the doors are open!

Most improved Schools in Dorset – September 2018

We were delighted to receive the news that based on our 2017-18 year 6 results, we are one of the most improved schools in Dorset.  This backs up the Church Inspection in June 2018, which reported that we are GOOD at meeting the needs of all learners.
