Sports Funding Reports
2022-23
We continue to receive sports premium funding to develop school sport. Our strategy and spending is formally reviewed at the end of every academic year. Each term our Sports Coordinator, Mrs Miller, shares a sports newsletter which details the events, festivals and competitions we have been involved with.
2021-22
School sports were badly impacted by the pandemic and in recent years we weren’t able to achieve all the things we intended to do. We have invested time and resources in rebooting our competitive school sport programme. In 2021-22 we also used some of our sports funding to provide a catch-up swimming programme in summer 2022 for all children in Years 4, 5 and 6.
2020-21
Following the 2nd lockdown, to improve the health of our school community, we embraced skipping with Dan the Skipping Man and brought brand new ropes for all our children.

2019-20
2018-19
We are proud that in 2018-19 we were awarded the Gold Mark Sports Award for our strong commitment to, engagement and delivery of competitive sport. We benefit hugely from being part of the Christchurch Sports Partnership and having great links with Twynham PE department.

Our dedicated and specialist PE coordinator
We have a committed team dedicated to improving opportunities for all children to take part in Sport. Mrs Miller is our Physical Education coordinator. A significant proportion of our Sports Funding finances this provision and pays for the cover needed for staff to attend competitions with the children.

Christchurch Sports Partnership
Another significant part of our sports budget funds our membership of the Christchurch School Sports Partnership. In 2018-19 we attended over 28 events put on by CSSP, for all ages and abilities. Our amazing CSSP coordinator, Dan Moody, won the SGO (Sports Games Organiser) of the year 2018-19! See the Youtube clip below and spot some of our Priory pupils!
