Fixed Term Teaching Assistant – required for Sept 2023

Fixed Term Teaching Assistant

XS 10.4 Grade 5 (£10.99 per hour minimum starting salary)

30 hours per week – Term time only 8:30am – 3:15pm

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a fixed term contract for 30 hours per week, starting on 1st September 2023. The post is Monday to Friday, term time only.

The prime responsibility will be to provide class-based learning support for children in KS1 or KS2.  There may also be a significant element of supporting children with additional needs.  Please note that supervising children at lunchtime is also key requirement of the role.

This is an exciting opportunity for graduates or school leavers who are considering entering the teaching profession and wish to gain some experience before applying to initial teacher training providers.   We will offer training on the job for this role, as well as training and opportunities to prepare you for teacher training/interview.

You must have a genuine interest in working with children and entering the education profession. You will have lots of energy, resilience, be keen to learn and willing to have a go. We would welcome any specialist skills such as music, art, drama, dance or sport etc as we would work with you to ensure you get the opportunity to develop these with our children.
